Abstract

In the name of Allah, the most gracious, the most merciful. Today to deliberate on a matter of paramount importance-the sanctity of human life and its protection, viewed through the lens-of Islamic teachings. The protection and significance of human life are fundamental principles in Islam. The Qur'an and hadith, saying and actions of the Prophet Muhammad emphasize the-sanctity of human life, outlining various contemporary requirements for safeguarding it. The Qur'an states that Allah breathed His spirit into human beings (Qur'an 15:29), emphasizing the unique states of humans among of creation.the principal of Islamic law is often to the "Maqasid Al-sharia." which includes safeguarding religion, life, intellect, lineage, and property. Islamic teachings promote strong social foundation. Concepts like zakat, sadqa, are means t o aid the needy and maintain economic equilibrium. The Islamic principles encourage Peaceful conflict resolution and dialogue, as exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad's negotiations and treaties. Islamic environmental ethics and teachings on conserving resources in sustainable living in harmony with nature. In the contemporary context, protecting human life in accordance with Islamic principles present unique challenges. These challenges include ad dressing issues like terrorism, warfare, healthcare, and human rights violation. Muslims scholars and engage in ongoing debates to adapt traditional legal principles to modern circumstances.
